Council Information Centre
The Council Information Centre situated in the Town Council offices was opened in October 2005. The aim of the centre, which is a partnership between Norfolk County Council, South Norfolk District Council and Diss Town Council, is to provide face to face information and services to customers across the whole range of council responsibilities. The Centre is open on Monday Wednesday & Friday between 9.30am and 4pm and on Tuesday and Thursday between 9.30am and 3pm. Listed below are a selection of the information and services available:
- Issuing Rail Cards (payment by cheque only)
- Checking of proof documents for Bus Pass applications
- Travel information and timetables
- Assistance with completion of blue disabled badge permits on line
- To report faulty street lights or potholes in the road
- Information on adult education courses
- Council Tax and Housing benefit information
- Planning application enquiries
- Rubbish collection and re-cycling information
