Sports Ground
The Sports Ground is a well-equipped modern leisure facility used by local clubs for soccer and athletics. The ground has the area's only all-weather floodlit athletics training facility and Diss Athletic Club provides an opportunity for anyone aged between nine and 70 to participate at a level appropriate to their interest and ability.
Activity continues throughout the year, with club nights and regular sessions. Click here for further information.
In addition to Diss Athletic Club, the Sports Ground is hired to Scole Lads Football Club and Merryfields Playschool on a regular basis. It is also available for private hire for suitable sporting, recreational or fundraising purposes. It is an ideal venue for fundraising occasions on an enclosed site, club events and private parties for children or adults in the Pavilion.
The Sports Pavilion
The modern Sports Pavilion has first-class facilities, with clubroom, kitchen & changing rooms to ensure the success of any sporting occasion. There is plenty of adjacent car parking for both players and spectators. A wide range of sporting equipment is available for hire, subject only to the prior claim of regular club users.
Whilst the purpose-built Pavilion is essential to meet the needs and enjoyment of all sports participants, it also provides a practical focal point for the many special events (sporting and otherwise) which take place at Diss Sports Ground by arrangement. The Pavilion may also be hired in its own right for suitable indoor activities such as club meetings and adult or children's birthday parties. The pavilion is also used during term time by Merryfields Playgroup.
